About the Author
Cara is a native desert dweller in southern Arizona, where she lives with her husband, two children, and their dog MacKenzie. Her biggest dream as a little girl was to be a writer. She has a degree in psychology and creative writing, and has been working with children in many different settings since high school. She is an award winning poet, and she began writing novels in 2022.
In Cara's writing, myths meet memories and joy coexists with heartache. A “joyful girl” at her core, she finds inspiration in music, desert skies, and the bittersweet magic of everyday life. Her books blend witchy fantasy stories with themes of healing, identity, and chosen family. When she’s not writing or reading, you’ll find her listening to various genres of music, soaking in nature, or savoring moments with her kids — always creating, always feeling, always telling stories that matter.
